UVENCE Arte + Hotel
UVENCE Arte + Hotel occupies a cluster of buildings spanning the seventeenth to the twentieth century, ten minutes from the center of San Cristóbal de las Casas, on land once farmed by Dominican friars. It's one of a handful of true cultural hotels: its suites hang work by artists such as Mathias Goeritz and Rodolfo Nieto, furnished with vintage Mexican design, several with private thermal baths. Around it sit the Chiapas highlands and the traditions of Chamula and Zinacantán.
