St Regis Kanai
The St. Regis Kanai sits on a 620-acre mangrove reserve in the Riviera Maya, its architecture raised on stilts to float above the canopy, a contemporary design drawn, the resort says, from the Pleiades. The setting borrows from the nearby Sian Ka'an biosphere: mangrove, ocean, protected wetland. A large, formal resort placed lightly on a fragile landscape, with full butler service and the scale to match.
